Projects
I am passionate about working with the community on projects that are inclusive and fun for everyone. The main themes of my work are belonging, inclusivity, and wellbeing. Please scroll through the pages at the bottom for an idea of my community engagement work.
I have run family fun days for refugee and asylum groups, art workshops in dementia care homes, and hand embroidery workshops that draw on ancient global traditions of kantha, shashiko, and boro.
My projects are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, and offer different layers of engagement. I meticulously research the work I do and create spaces that safe and welcoming.
If you would like be informed of or involved in any upcoming projects; or would like to commission me to help design and deliver yours, please contact me on the contact form, or email at nilu@nilufarahmed.com
